Reese's Pieces Cookie Cake Bars-- Week 2 of 12 Weeks of Christmas Cookies

If there is one thing that my boys love, it is the combination of chocolate and peanut butter.

I can't say that I really blame them!

Coley actually picked out the Reese's Pieces for this recipe as the original calls for M&M's.

This would be a quick and easy bar cookie for any upcoming get together! They are probably one of the easiest things I have made in a long time! It would be fun to experiment with all the fun baking pieces and different cake mix flavors that tend to come out during the holidays!

Be careful on your baking time as I overbaked mine!
They still had a great taste and we loved them!

Reese's Pieces Cookie Cake Bars
recipe adapted from this recipe at The Little Kitchen

  • 1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 3/4 cup mini Mini Reese's Pieces (found in the baking aisle)

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Mix cake mix and wet ingredients just until combined.
  4. Add reese's pieces to batter and mix until just combined. (Be Careful not to overmix the batter.)
  5. Pour batter into the greased pan.
  6. Smooth out batter with an angled spatula that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the pan to cool on a cooling rack for at least 10-15 minutes before cutting.
  9. Enjoy!

I bet the Reese's provide great little crunches within the brownies. These look delicious and seem like they'd disappear quickly.
