Happy National Waffle Day!

At my husbands work, apparently one of the other managers is obsessed with knowing what "happy national _ day" it is. I find this rather funny because some of the managers there have no personality but she is the only female manager so maybe this is why she does this! But we had Waffles from this recipe on Sunday. After seeing it on many blogs, I decided it was time to make it. And yet again, Annie's Eats does not disappoint! It was a great yummy waffle and my boys loved them! It was so nice just to be able to wake up and have something ready to go too (after making them in the waffle iron of course!)

So in Honor of National Waffle Day-- the menu for dinner is being changed-- we're going to have waffles tonight for dinner! Because we love them!

Happy Birthday My Cole!

Happy Birthday Coley!
You made it to ONE!!!
Your daddy and I love you more than you could ever imagine. You are such a light in our lives and we love to see what new thing you will do that day. Your daddy is so excited to cook your birthday dinner tonight! In fact, he got steak's from his work! Big Brother wants to get you a cupcake for tonight too!
After what my husband and I went through with our first marriages, we were elated to have a "second start" of a family. Even though now, both of us will admit that we are completely happy with our family the way it is! Coley really has made both of us look back and really try to enjoy every moment with your child because you never know what might happen.

Sam's Club and Box Tops for Education

On Saturday, the boys and I went to Sam's Club to go and check out their Box Tops for Education Promotion. On specially marked packages of General Mills items, there were 6! Box Tops! Box Tops for Education is a great organization that helps schools with needed items by collecting the Pink Box Tops that are on all kinds of items!

Cam and I did a hunt to see if we could find the items with the Special 6 Box Tops. The first thing we came to was.........cereal! The mixed box from General Mills fits our family perfectly! Cam had also been wanting some Cookie Crisp! We also got Gushers and Fruit by the Foot and Gogurt. Cam's school, Glenmont Elementary, will be getting all of the box tops too!

We had a fun time looking through Sam's for the Box Tops! As school season starts back remember to look for a little something to help out!

Disclosure: I was provided a Sam's $25 gift card, an upgrade to a Sam's Club Plus Membership and and it was all provided by Sam’s Club and General Mills through MyBlogSpark. Thanks!

So I did something.......

That I never do. I stepped out of my box. I applied for a reality TV show. It was for a new show with the Cake Boss. I got an email back saying they needed a video. Did the video. Very odd. It's weird seeing yourself on screen much less in a little camera screen answering questions with your husband and 9 year old son laughing at you in the background. But hey at least I tried to do something new. Something new that my friend, Brian and I talk about all the time. Here we are almost 30 and not really happy but hey, times they are a changing folks!
