Week one of
Hoosier Homemade's Cupcake Challenge was to come up with a seasonal cupcake! Well, since I was making an apple cider cake anyway, I just went ahead and made a few cupcakes from the batter. I used the same caramel icing that I used on the cake. Even though the trend is to make a swirl of buttercream sometimes it's nice to have just a little frosting and just to enjoy the cake! Yum! Love Apple Cider! I've never tried it in a cake or cupcakes, I bet it makes them moist.

These look amazing. I am going to have to try apple cider in my cupcakes. I agree, although we love the buttercream, I bet this cake does taste good. I am definitely going to make it.
